For many of us Spring Break is an excuse to hit the beach all day every day for seven days, and not worry about much except for what swimsuit we are going to wear the next day. I love a good cowboy boot or bootie. But living in the big city and wearing cowboy boots might get you a few weird looks, so I am going to share some of my favorite boots to wear with pretty much anything for every occasion. Boots are expensive though so make sure to always look at Nordstroms Rack, Marshalls and Winners!
I personally own this boot above and I absolutely love them! Online they $119USD but I found them at Nordstrom’s Rack this summer for $40USD! My key is not to rush to buy things as soon as I see them online, if it’s meant to be then maybe you will find them on sale or in store for a lot less!

With Valentine’s day just around the corner, your plans are probably finalized but you probably are still trying to pick out the perfect outfit. Here are 8 different outfits perfect for a casual or fancy date night! If you do not have any red in your closet, light or blush pink is a different alternative that looks perfect as well! If you want to add a subtle hint of red to your outfit, try a bright red nail or lip. Accessories are also a perfect way to add a pop of color!
If you don’t know me, then you wouldn’t know that I adore printed pants. Adore. Whether they are jeans, trousers, leggings, you name it – if it has a print I’m going to like it. Printed pants can be difficult to wear sometimes though, in terms of finding a shirt and pair of shoes to match. I’m here to show you different ways to wear printed pants and after you read this, I know for a fact that you will fall in love with them just as much as me.
The first tip is that I tend not to be too matchy matchy. I usually try to match my shirt to the less dominant color in the pant, that way I do not look like an entire blob of one color with only a tad of another. But, if you are wearing a busier print (such as floral) it may look cleaner to match the top to the most dominant color. In the example below, the women is wearing a white top to offset the darkness of the pant, while tying in the secondary color.
The second tip I have is that a printed pant can be accompanied by a printed top! Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns, if done correctly it looks incredibly chic. The model below has used a predominantly white top with black accent and a predominantly black trouser with white accent. This is a way to compliment the colours and different patterns.
Tip three is to wear a complimenting shoe color. If you start adding too many patterns or colors the outfit can go from magazine cover to What Not to Wear in seconds. The shoe does not have to be the exact same color as the shirt or pant, but it should compliment the outfit. If you are wearing a black and white outfit (like in the picture above) you could wear a bright shoe to add a pop of color. But, if you are wearing a colored print pant it may be better to stick to a more neutral color!

Hey everyone! I hope your Wednesday is going as fabulous as mine is! I thought I would do something a little different today and give a review on the Apple Watch Series 3. So you may have noticed in my pictures that I have been sporting the Apple Watch on my wrist. It very quickly became a new staple in my everyday life and I absolutely love it. I get questions about it on a daily basis so I thought I could answer them for everyone who is thinking about buying one in the near future or if you’re wondering if it is the right product for you (considering I did hours of research before buying mine, I’ll put all of the information I learned in this post as well).
Many of you know that I work out a lot, whether its taking classes at the gym, running on the treadmill, swimming, or walking to Starbucks. I have used other fitness trackers in the past including the brand of Misfit watches and Fitbit. I enjoyed both of these trackers but they did have downsides including that they were not the most attractive watches to wear everyday and they were not waterproof. When I started looking into buying an Apple watch I knew that it had to be waterproof to track my swimming into my daily exercise count. I purchased the series 3 as it is the newest of the Apple Watches, it has a GPS, better battery life, etc.
A great feature of the Watch is being able to track everything I do at the gym including, treadmill workouts, Yoga, HITT workouts, and my swimming. Whereas a treadmill may tell you how many calories you’ve burned in your hour run, the watch tells you the active calories you’ve burned (based on your heart rate) and also the distance is extremely accurate and more reliable than what the treadmill says.
For outdoor runners: The Watch has a very cool feature to track where you have run and you can save routes that you have taken in the past right on the Watch. If you want to go on a route that you’ve ran before but can’t remember exactly where you went, the Watch cam give you directions! The Watch tracks your time per km and also gives you an overall average at the end of your run.
Text Messages/ Notifications:
The Watch notifies you when you get a text message, snapchat, or even a phone call. You can reply to the text message right away through the list of simple texts that the Watch offers such as “On my way”, “thank you”, “almost here”, or you can make custom messages that can pop up as well. The Watch also gives you fitness reminders throughout the day, reminding you to stand up for at least one minute an hour or to take a minute to breathe. I have been finding myself more encouraged to stand and to “fill my activity circles” each day by accomplishing certain tasks, (burning so many active calories, exercising for 30 minutes, and standing at least once a minute for 12 hours).
I hate carrying my phone and wallet around when I’m out and about running errands. The Watch has literally fixed this problem, because when I’m out I can pay with my Watch. I have my loaded Starbucks card right on the Watch so that I can scan it when I’m getting a coffee. If you’re worried that someone could access the information on your Watch, you can set a passcode so that the Watch will no open the app screen until you enter the code.
The Apple Watch does use more battery than other fitness trackers, but I usually wear the Watch for two entire days before having to charge it. I usually charge it while I’m sleeping and then throw it on the next morning, so I don’t miss out on anything I do during the day. I’m not going to lie that the battery life actually exceeded my expectations and it only takes about 30-40 minutes to charge completely.
My Overall Opinion:
I highly recommend the Apple Watch to everyone. It is a very useful tool to have and though I’m still learning about of all it’s features, so far I love what I’ve discovered. You do need an iPhone to use the Apple Watch which is the only downside for Android users. Though the Watch is more expensive than some other fitness trackers, it’s price is equal to its quality.
If you don’t already own a pair of wide trousers, then I highly suggest you go and buy a pair. Not only are they comfortable but they pair well with almost anything. You’ve probably seen at least a few pictures of me sporting these pants on my Instagram, because they’re chic and a hot item for Spring 2018. Pair with a sparkly top for a night out, or a knit sweater for the office; for both looks you’ll be chic and comfy all day long.
Oversized sweaters have become a major fashion trend over the past few years, and with hundreds of different ways to style them I thought I’d show you one of my favourite ways. I love pairing oversized sweaters with skinny jeans or trousers and tucking the front piece fo the sweater in, in order to accentuate the waist line. Finish the outfit off by wearing a pair of high ankle boots or mules and you’re all set.
Pro tip: In order to avoid your hair getting tangled in turtle necks, the key is to always wear your hair up (my favourite is in a messy top knot), that way your hair is out of the way and no tangles by the end of the day!
